“We will become a leading company in the smart equipment market using AI technology in line with the 4th industrial revolution while establishing ourselves as a specialized company in the field of ophthalmic optics.”
Following the development of COVID-19 quarantine goggles, this is the aspiration of Kwon Man-seong, CEO of CNS Company (hereinafter referred to as CNS), to promote user convenience by applying cutting-edge future technology to ophthalmic optical products.
CNS was established in June 2020, when the COVID-19 broke out, and launched 'Besgle', an ultra-light, multi-purpose, disposable safety goggles to prevent virus transmission through the eyes.
Besgle is the world's first goggle with a weight of 8g, which is easy to carry like a mask and used optical PET film to minimize blurred vision with 97% vision similar to glasses.
However, when it was impossible to wear glasses by medical staff who wore them for a long time, they complained of skin diseases, thats why we developed ‘Softgle Comfort’, which focuses on ‘comfort’, to elliminate these disadvantages.
Representative Kwon explained, “We applied materials harmless to the human body as the advantages of the existing Besgle, so there is no pain even when worn for a long time. And we applied an average of 6 curves to fit the head of Eastern and Western people so that they can be worn regardless of race.”
The products of CNS, whose effectiveness was recognized in Korea, were registered as global procurement vendors such as UNICEF, WTO, and UN, and export contracts were signed with global GTC companies in the United States. In addition, Softgle has been certified by KCS (Industrial Safety Self-Safety Verification), and has succeeded in securing new buyers trhrough exhibiting at DIOPS last June.
CNS plans to accelerate the release of innovative new products in the future while continuing to develop quarantine products in the post-corona era. In particular, it drew a blueprint to maximize user convenience by developing three types of AI convergence smart glasses in line with the era of the 4th industrial revolution.
CEO Kwon said, "Based on mass production for contract volume export of disposable and wearable safety glasses, we plan to develop and release glasses that can be used for the blind and Alzheimer's by converging optical technology." We are collaborating with artificial intelligence solution companies located in Gwangju for functions such as front-facing recognition and linking with smart devices.”
In addition, it is planning to develop AI smart goggles that measure golf distance for leisure and thermal imaging/face recognition goggles that can be applied to medical, industrial sites, and general life.
CEO Kwon said, "In order to grow into a technology-oriented leading company through the development of advanced AI technology, we plan to lay the foundation for direct production through the development of an eco-friendly smart manufacturing process and the establishment of a manufacturing environment." We want to grow into a global AI optical company that is recognized not only in Korea but also around the world.” /Reporter Hong Seung-hyun
