On the 18th, the city of Gwangju announced that 51 places, including local public institutions and companies, were listed in the screening for the “2022 Ministry of Gender Equality and Family Family-Friendly Certification.”
These include 21 new certifications, 13 extensions of the validity period, and 17 re-certifications.
In particular, in this year's certification examination, 21 companies are newly acquired family-friendly certifications, bringing the total number of family-friendly certified companies and institutions in the region to 121.
Since 2008, the Korea Management Certification Institute of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family has reviewed companies and institutions that operate exemplary family-friendly systems, such as childbirth and childrearing support, flexible work systems, and the creation of a family-friendly workplace culture, to support workers’ work-life balance, certification is granted. The evaluation is a comprehensive evaluation of the top management's leadership, family-friendly system implementation, and satisfaction with family-friendly management.
The family-friendly certification system can bring about positive effects such as improving image, reducing turnover rate, and increasing worker commitment to companies and institutions, and improving quality of lifestyle of workers, increasing job satisfaction, and enhancing relationships between employees.
Meanwhile, this year's family-friendly certified companies include Gwangju City Disabled Support Center, Gwangju Social Service Center, Gwangju Welfare Research Institute (above public institutions), Gwangju Shinsegae Co., Ltd., Daewoong S&T Co., Ltd., Avirtual Co., Ltd., Hyundai Hitech Co., Ltd., Dawon Co., Ltd., an agricultural corporation, Suwan Central Hospital, Gamseong Co., Ltd., Kkankanhan Family Co., Ltd., Sangdan Studio Co., Ltd., CNS Company Co., Ltd., SY Company Co., Ltd., Weemms Co., Ltd., Egan Co., Ltd., Issoft Co., Ltd., Geos Technology Co., Ltd., Tronics Co., Ltd., Face Graphic Co., etc.
