CNS, a small but strong company manufacturing safety glasses in Korea, is developing the best ophthalmic optical products that can be used in industrial safety, health care, and everyday life, and applying AI technology to develop a variety of goggles for medical, leisure sports, daily safety, and special purposes. The company recently achieved another great achievement.
At the 26th Annual General Meeting of the Asian Science Park Association (ASPA) held in Turkye Istanbul on the 14th, it proudly won the ASPA Award, which selects and awards Asia's best venture companies.
CNS Company established a new headquarters and factory in 2023, and celebrated its second anniversary this year by making a mark on venture entrepreneurs around the world by winning the ASPA Award. ASPA was established in Japan in 1997 for the joint development of science, technology and industrial economy in the Asian region, and currently has 157 science parks, techno parks, clusters and related organizations from 21 countries participating as members.
ASPA's main activity is to support more small and medium-sized businesses in pursuing strategic and highly specialized management by awarding promising companies with excellent management capabilities and excellent technological innovation in Asia. It also aims to disseminate useful ideas and know-how and share them with managers and experts in Asian STPs.
The ASPA Award, which CNS Company won this time, provides an opportunity to come together and form a network for collaboration with potential companies, STPs, and business partners. It is also becoming a new model for efficient growth of small and medium-sized businesses and regional development. Here, empirical practices of corporate management that can be applied to new companies are presented. Every year, ASPA discovers and awards excellent venture companies through recommendations from institutional members. Award-winning companies are given the opportunity to promote their companies and businesses through the ASPA program.
ASPA also encourages ASPA organization members and their tenant companies to participate in ASPA business meetings to build business networks and gain additional opportunities in international markets.
For this ASPA Awards 2023, the first evaluation of candidate companies was conducted from August 16 to September 15 through the Asian company nomination period from July 6 to August 10. The first results were announced from September 25th to 27th, and preparations for the final evaluation were conducted from September 28th to November 3rd. The final evaluation and ASPA awards ceremony were held during the 26th ASPA Annual General Meeting held in Turkye Istanbul on the 14th. At this event, CNS Company received the award as Asia's Outstanding Venture Company.
An official from CNS Company said, “We are honored that our headquarters received an award as an excellent venture company from ASPA, a leading organization in the knowledge industry and technological innovation in Asia. I am also very proud of being able to stand shoulder to shoulder with the world's leading venture companies. I feel proud and realize that I can contribute to the industrial economy of Asia and the world beyond Korea. “I would like to thank Techno Park Director Kim Young-jip, ophthalmologist Dr. Ko Jae-woong, and Intellectual Property Center Dr. Hae-min Moon and Dr. Si-jeong Jeong for their help.”
Meanwhile, CNS Company plans to enter into a KIT and sell safety glasses, which were sold only at industrial safety supply shops and hardware stores, in 1,000 optical shops nationwide through a contract with Hanssem & Company Co., Ltd. as a distributor for the domestic eyewear industry. Also, just as disposable lenses, masks, nitrile gloves, and wet wipes changed from hot items to national necessities in the past, ‘CNS Company’ is trying to change the trend of safety glasses to necessities as well. As part of these efforts, we plan to release water-drinking hippo safety glasses, folding safety glasses, edge safety glasses, and shield safety glasses. Additionally, we are preparing to release safety glasses with a built-in ventilator next year.
